Great atmosphere. The best Alaskan batter dipped pollack in door county and that's saying something.

**FRAUD ALERT** 8-23-2015: I reviewed my recent transaction at Bay Side Tavern after my DC trip and the waiter (presumed) added $10 to my transaction in form of a tip. If you read below, you'll note that I did not leave a tip due to his guestimate on what my total was. I will be calling Bay Side Tavern in the morning to issue my grievance and then possibly my credit card company's fraud department. Also, Door County Sheriff's Office will be contacted and given all information on this matter.** The bar/restaurant are about equal in size (big bar). It is a first come, seat yourself environment. Coming with a group (which we did) isn't recommended on a busy Friday night. It took a long time to get a spot but we did and had to really spread out. I ordered a double cheeseburger (pick 2 cheeses) and walleye cheeks. It didn't take too long to get everything. The walleye was really good and the dipping sauce was amazing. The walleye was overcooked and had the consistency of chicken (even looked like it). The burger was very good and quite the redemption from the one I had earlier at Juniper's. Everything was really good. The 2 things that kept this from becoming a 5 star rating was the excessive noise and the waiter splitting the bill in his head (including estimating tax) then saying what it was. It was that which led to no tip because that's not the math we had. I'd like to go back. Also, the tuna steak was really good!

Went here on a Sunday afternoon on our way out of town. Wasn't busy at all and we immediately found a nice table. We were served quickly and got drinks. I ordered a more than decent bloody Mary which I enjoyed thourougly. We ordered our meals, a bacon cheeseburger and fries and my order-gluten free pizza. Food was fantastic. Burger was notably good and gluten free pizza was outstanding. My one quip would be that during our meal, the restaurant got increasingly busy and we saw our waitress less and less. They only had two servers working from what we could see, so getting our check and a to go box took about 20 minutes. Overall, excellent food and good bloody. Would recommend for a quick afternoon bite - but beware if they are busy and understaffed.

I have to say that it really pains me to give this classic place that I have been going to since I was 6 years old 3 stars. This place was not being run correctly when we were there this summer and it really showed. When we were able to get a table we sat down and piled all of the old dishes from the last people at the end of the table. After about 5 minutes we went up to the bar and all we asked for was that the table be cleared as we already had drinks and knew what we wanted. They had two bartenders and only one waitress working so our table took about 10 minutes to get cleared and that is about the time we finally got menus and some service. I felt sorry for the waitress until I saw her take a drink order then go make it herself despite the bartenders taking shots for themselves. The waitress had no priorities and it seemed she did not know how to handle multiple tables. Their house beer The Bayside Brew is still one of my favorites and their chili is still the best I can find anywhere. If it were not for my history of loving this place and their awesome food and beer then I would give them less stars. All it would have taken is maybe one more server and this place would have been fantastic but unfortunately we may have caught them on a bad night.

Pleasant surprise! Believe this is where the locals go judging by how busy it was at 10 to 9 on a Wednesday. Great service, great food. Fries were fresh and crisp, sandwiches hearty. One of the few places we found that was open past 9pm. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Typical bar food, spotted cow on tap. We came because they have gluten-free options they were out of gluten-free bread. I really wanted to like this place but I probably would not come back.

Stopped on a week day afternoon in the off season for lunch, only about 8 people in the place, very different than the weekends in summer. The service was great, friendly conversation with the bartender. I ordered a cheese burger and fries, my wife had the Ruben. The fries were excellent, very crispy, cooked perfectly. My burger was delicious. The Ruben came on rye bread which was cut thick, the meat was a little chewy but tasted great, overall a good sandwich. I stop here whenever I'm in the area and will continue to do so. I have never been disappointed.

Had a wonderful evening at the Bayside. The bartenders, Kathy and Brandon were sensational! Great ambience. A must visit when you come to Door County!

One of my favorites in Door County. Good food and drinks with friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable. It has a Cheers kind of feel.

Sally M's right... this is the only bar in Fish Creek, as best I can tell. We headed here mid-camping trip earlier this fall to catch the Packer game. We're devoted like that. Here's a breakdown. (Break it down, now!) -prices reasonable on some items, on others prices seemed a touch high (my guess is that is due to the fact that Door County is a cute/kitschy tourist destination for lots of folks... so they can probably get away with it) ex: some beer seemed reasonably (even cheaply!) priced, whereas some other varities seemed drastically over-priced. I guess I'm not sure about distribution/availability in this part of the state, but still. Noted. -service from the bartender was pretty dang spotty, although the owner/manager dude (from Riverwest!) that we ran into was great and super-nice (big ups to the R-Dubs!) -food was okay, and I wish I could expound, but I can't; it was bar food, nothing too terribly special, but it wasn't markedly bad, either. -this spot was super-busy for the game (perhaps in part to the fact that it seems to be the only bar in Fish Creek?) That said, the crowd thinned out considerably after the game ended. -this spots boasts a town-y vibe in the best way possible A-OK, Bay Side Tavern! Should we find ourselves camping at Peninsula Park in the future (and I can't imagine we wouldn't!) we'd definitely stop here again for a game, a brew, or a bite should an occasion call for it.

Service was fantastic, food was wonderful! We came here while in vacation in Door County because my Dad grew up down the street from the owners, and we were pleased to find out that it's all still family owned. The Macdonalds are great! Highly recommend the brat burger and the chili (very meaty!), all in all GREAT PLACE! A Door County tradition!

Food & hospitality good. Service was terrible. May be due to young server. Would go back but hope they work on speeding up service. Had to find server a few times to order drinks & served ourselves coffee.

i've tied a few on at this place...that's an understatement. I like it because it's old school Crick. Try the brat-burger which is a bratwurst and burger. That shit will fuck up your gut. Gut rot is what we call that....5 stars because I was a kid this is the place we would go after boating.

The chili is amazing!!!! A fun little small town bar atmosphere with a staff that is clearly local. The service is not always the best as the staff seems to know everyone and starts chatting which is fine. The food is good and it's worth a stop!

While visiting friends and taking a tour of the area we stopped into Bay Side Tavern for lunch. It was our first visit and the place did not disappoint. There were a lot of items to look at throughout the bar and there were plenty of tables and bar stools for sitting. The food was also delicious. We had the party platter which had a great variety of pub samplers and their Brat Burger (a hamburger patty on top of a brat patty with cheese) is totally worth it. This place also has RC Cola which I have not had in years. Our waiter did a great job. He was friendly and checked us often. He later told us it was his first day and we think he did a good job! This is a great place to eat if you are stopping in Fish Creek!

It's pretty much the only late night hang out in Fish Creek. Prices are reasonable. A classic Wisconsin divey-type bar. The staff is friendly. I haven't eaten here yet but heard the food is pretty good.

Seems to be the only casual bar in Fish Creek? Decent beer selection, friendly staff, good atmosphere, great bar food. Not stunning but more than adequate - the bloody mary is excellent!

Great spot to grab a beer and something to eat. Can't go wrong with a BLT, Hot MJ (Turkey), huge club, or a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato.

This is a great place to catch some live music!! When I went there was a very good ska/reggae band that reminded me of one of my favorite local bands back in college. The crowd is very lively and fun too!! It can get crowded sometimes, but I didnt think it was too bad. The more the merrier!

Oh Bayside Tavern you have seen some of our best days in Fish Creek! My family and I typically rendeveau at this establishment on rainy days instead of boating. We actually call those "Bayside afternoons" which entails all of us getting extremely inhebriated and eating delicious chili and staying from about noon to bar close. Needless to say this is one of my favorite spots in town and so many memories have been made here. And yes it's good for kids! You can drink with your parents in WI, the family that drinks together stays together is our motto! I love this bar. Enough said.

I can't find a complaint about this place from the time I spent there. The food was good and the service was quick. The atmosphere at Bayside is friendly and every seemed to be having a fun time. A great casual place to grab a beer and a bite to eat.

The best bar in Door County. Amazing bartenders, inexpensive beer and a good jukebox. They also have amazing cheese-tastic pizza.

The Bay Side Tavern is place for locals that lets even the tourist in. It is a bar and a fun bar at that. It is one of the best places to be on Halloween weekend. It is just plain fun. Their bar burgers are the best in Door County. The chili if not the best is one of the best in Door County. Have both with fries and you will not be disappointed.

Maybe it was an off day since they've gotten so many great reviews. Maybe it was because we were exhausted from the long drive from Chicago... Not sure. We went in there since we were kind of hungry and I saw that they had soup. A nice cup of soup right about now would have hit the spot. So we go in. We were greeted immediately and given menus right away. I asked about the soup and she tried to explain and instead ran to the kitchen and came back with a sample. My mom tasted and it and made a face. I didn't care for it either. I love Mexican tortilla soup and this was a little off. Thanks for the taste though. She took our drink orders and an appetizer order and my mom, with her broken English asked for coffee with milk no sugar (she means cream but servers know what she's talking about). The server brought our drinks and the appetizer and my mom got a cup of black coffee and no cream or milk or anything else. The server kept disappearing that we couldn't even reminder to bring it. By the time we got her attention, my mom's coffee was cold, she did offer to top it off with some hot coffee, but...any way. Food was ordered, grilled chicken for mom, grilled cheese for sister. I'll just munch on the appetizers. It was the mixed platter with fried cheese and veggies. I wish I had thought twice before going into a tavern for lunch. I was mislead since going to a tavern in Greece is so different than going to one in Door County. Oh well, live and learn. Just glad I didn't get an entree. The chicken was OK and so was the grilled cheese (although I would think it would be difficult to mess up a grilled cheese). It was OK. I don't think the food was worth the price though. We had one coffee and two waters, a grilled cheese and chicken sandwich and mixed appetizer for nearly $40 including tax and tip (this is lunch).

What can I tell you? Good food, 16 beers on tap, fast service. A great local place for a bite. Prices for the food are a little steep, but what do you expect for Fish Creek?

We were staying in Ephraim (the next town over), on the snowiest, most beautiful, Christmas weekend. On Sunday, after brunch, we wanted watch the Bears/Packers game. So dressed in our blue & orange Bears regalia. We stepped into the "Bayside Tavern." It was us and two other patrons with Bears shirts on, surrounded by a sea of folks dressed in green & yellow. "Bill" the bartender was great, and played along with Bear/Packer rivalry in good fun! Bill also made the best damn Bloody Mary that I have had in a long time, served with a shot of beer, I really enjoyed that extra touch. At half time, we shared yummy fried cheese curds!!! (helloooooo...we're in Wisconsin!) So perfect! We watched a few delicious looking pizzas coming out of the kitchen, but we were still a little full from a huge brunch. By the way...final score...Bears-35/Packers-7 DA BEARS!!!

My fiance and I went here in May 2011 and are going back again in early November. The food and drinks were great and I don't think I have ever had such great service at a bar, especially from Bill!!! Best bartender around!! We cannot wait to go back!

Horrible server last time!!!! We got her twice in one weekend! Food is decent enough bar food! We usually stop in for a drink at least once on our annual fall trip. This year we tried watching a football game & eating dinner there. The waitress was awful. It was Saturday of fall Fest (very drunk fun Fest, we thought we were far enough away from it since its up in sister bay) & a group of rowdy college age kids came in & were very drunk & pretty much took over the bar! They pulled tables together & were playing flippy cup & being very obnoxious, normally in a bar that's fine but it was only 8:00 & most ppl there were trying to eat & watch the game. They were finally asked to leave when one of them kept falling over! Good to stop in for a drink or appetizer while shopping, don't recommend for dinner & gets crowded for night drinks!

Nice place to come, since half the establishments closed around 8-9. Good bar and nice ppl. I bummed a smoke off of a guy at the end of the bar and yes it was odd seeing smokes in a bar (from IL) haha. Good selection of bar but the kitchen was closed by the time we got there so no taste of the food but i'm sure its good. OH AND KATHY AND BRANDON ARE GREAT!!! Very cool cats. Enjoy!!

We were up in Door County last week and headed over there the day we arrived as we wanted casual. We ordered some appetizers and a pizza for dinner along with some beers. The pizza was perfect! Thin crust with high quality cheese and toppings loaded onto it. Seriously one of the best pizza's I have had. (i am not a chicago style fan as the only flavor is cheese) Beer selection is great as well with about 12 things on tap. We decided to go back another night for $2 burger night and 1/2 of pizza as well. Unfortunately they ran out of dough so we did the burgers which were damn good and came on a great roll (not a hamburger bun) and for .50 cents they put on like 4 slices of bacon. Definitely will be back for any trip to Door County

A local bar ... plain and simple. I've spent a lot of time in other places like this in Wisconsin. The service is "local" ... not express. The beer is good and reasonably priced. The chili is to die for! True Green Bay chili, the kind you find at Chili Johns or at Real Chili in Milwaukee. If you are a chili fan at all, this is a must. Add onions, but maybe not the cheese. A great stop every time we are in Door County.

Nice enough "townie bar" in downtown Fish Creek. Nice 'Up North' atmosphere, but not as divey and 'local' as I might have expected (and hoped). I have to wonder if they bump up the prices in the summer for the Chicago tourists and send them back down over the winter? Prices were in line with what you'd expect in the Chicago burbs on this late June weekend. Didn't try food this time around, but I hear this place is one of the better choices in town.

Teflon & Heather are really great bartenders. Lots of guys in the Illinois tuxedo - tucked-in mock turtlenecks and crispy baseball caps. Reasonable prices, middle-aged soroority sisters gittin' wasted, pizza on pedestals. Was busy on a early February Sat. nite - wouldn't want to elbow through the crowds in the summer. Oh, the Bayside coffee is pretty awesome if you like flames and whipped cream.

This is a favorite and a must visit when in Door County. Great pizza and service. A real neighborhood bar where if you're not a visitor, I'm sure everyone knows your name.

We dined here on a Monday night in March. They have great burger specials on Monday night and the place was slowly filling up while we were there. The bartender was super nice, and he gave us recommendations for places to go when we asked. The food was really good. The hot turkey sandwich (mj) was awesome, as were the pepperjack bites. My husband had the pepperjack Philly sandwich. --- I would definitely come back the next time I'm here. It wad really nice especially because it was one of the few places open during the week.

My friends and I stopped here for dinner after a very long bike ride around the peninsula. They have plenty of beer on tap. The bartender was happy to let me try a couple before I decided. Their burgers are also yummy and the three of us shared an order of fries. There was a Badger football game on that night too so the place was packed. A great slice of Wisconsin!

Good beer selection. Food was a little pricy but when you get your food you see why. Totally worth it.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
